The process of planning
To ensure that we were as organised as possible, John, Edisson and I had already planned out everything we intended to do in preparation for each week's lesson. We worked very well as a group and discussed our ideas during the first week when we were introduced to the project. We chose to work in a group consisting of three people; our idea was to portray the idea of interaction in the form of a stop motion video although we had contemplated creating something less time consuming (as we only had three weeks to produce everything). We were determined to stick to this idea as through Stop motion animation we had the advantage of creating a world as fantasy-like or as realistic as we desired.
We were advised right from the beginning to choose a concept/storyline which would be easy to understand and is a common everyday occurance. Our group settled on the concept of John (our protagonist) who would take us through his journey to university, where the 'interactions' would take place from waking up to arriving at the location. Despite settling on this idea, we had to alter the ending unfortunately due to the issue with timing. As the final production had to be at least one minute long and we would not have been able to fit everything together.

Brainstorming
To make the production process as efficient as possible, that first week we created a brainstorm in my sketchbook of the things we would include in our animation.
Interaction list & scene list
Our group had also written out an interaction list along with a scene list in order to keep us more organised and speed up the production process. The interaction list belows we created three sections: 'Action, reaction and reshaping'. This combined produces our defintion of 'interaction'. Prior to this in class we had discussed what an 'interaction is'. To me I had mentioned about the importance of communication and how the 'action' automatically generates the anticipation therefore the audience expects a certain 'reaction'. An example would be the clouds getting dark in the sky (the action) whereas the 'reaction' we anticipate the rain. However we had decided on reshaping and subverting this and so what the audience expects to happen would be the opposite.
The list below shows the check list for our plan from John getting up to getting to the location:
